We seek to combine financial expertise, program design and pedagogy. Our areas of specialisation are financial reporting, financial analysis, company valuation, corporate acquisitions and management control.
In close dialog with our clients we identify the needed competence development, and design a program and pedagogical approach accordingly.
It is important for us that the financial issues are seen in the real business context. We thus always start in the client’s business environment (customers, suppliers and competitors) and relate to strategic and management control issues.
We know that learning takes time and that people learn in different ways. We also know that different questions require different teaching approaches and that every question can be illustrated in several ways. We master the approaches which generate lasting learning.
Our starting point is always your company’s reality. We add models and theories whenever they might enhance the understanding of this reality.
Our pedagogical approaches include problem-based learning, active learning, interactive lecturing, simulations, role plays, cases, open space technology, learning diary and e-learning. We are also world leading in virtual training through webinars and continuously invest in our own custom built webinar studio.
A common side-effect of our program deliveries is that a financial strategic analysis of your company and its business landscape, hands-on evaluation of the financial consequences of business plans, etc, are generated.
One client may want to establish a common and understandable financial language within the company, from the board of directors to the entire organization.
Another client may desire help to move the finance people from the trunk of the car, to the front seat next to the driver.
The financial consequences of a major change which a client is about to make, or is heading for, can be the area of discussion for a third client.
A fourth client may be a newly appointed CEO, needing a sounding board on financial matters.
A fifth client could be a management institute or a business school which might want a short or a longer session on financial matters, be it two days in a management training program or a four week block in a MBA program.
